Health and Well-being for Artists

As artists we are using our bodies constantly to create our work. Our most valuable tools are our own two hands. I've recently been suffering a bit of repetitive strain in my elbows from the smaller works that I've been creating and this has got me thinking about ways I can set up my space to be more ergonomic. As well as my working set up I find alternate activities (such as yoga and walking) help to keep my body mobile and healthy. I want to ensure the longevity of my art practice and to do this I need to be very conscious of how I'm supporting myself through good nutrition, ample rest and physical activity.

What do you do to maintain good health and support your art practice both physically and mentally?

I love yoga, it's so good for body and mind.
