OUR STORY

Peta Tranquille founded us on February 15, 2019, to help her find other Victorian artists.

Peta moved to Melbourne, from Perth, in 2013 and wanted to be involved in the local art community.

Within one year over 750 artists had joined the FB group. It has continued to grow and now has in excess of 1400.

The group has regular group exhibitions and is focused on networking, educating and supporting local artists.

There are regular meetup events, and many friendships have developed throughout the group.

In July 2020 Melbourne and Victorian Artists Inc. became an official non-profit association.

If you are an artist from Victoria, please join us on the Closed FB Group.

Meet some local artists and get involved in on our many discussions by clicking below.

An Artist Run Association encouraging emerging and practising artists from different backgrounds to further their art projects, from assisting with tips on technique to art industry advice.

We are here to support every visual artist and maker living in Victoria!

We also give members access to participate in our exclusive exhibitions and artist networking events.

Do you have 5 minutes to spare?

Do you want to help with exhibitions or social media tasks?

Perhaps you have a technical skill that would be useful to MAVA Inc.
