Melbourne and Victorian Artists Inc. (MAVA Inc.) wants to reach out to Victorian artists, makers, galleries, art societies, members and more.
Our mission is to create opportunities for Victorian Artists and empower them to grow, learn and improve their art practice while simultaneously educating the public about the visual arts sector and our artists.
To do that, we would love to hear from local artists, makers, societies, galleries, suppliers and art related bodies.
NETWORKING
Networking is a powerful tool, and the MAVA Inc Facebook group is proof of that with nearly 2000 members. It is one of, if not the most interactive and helpful art group in Australia. It was created in Feb 2019 and is continuing to grow. It is a thriving resource for artists to ask questions, share knowledge and discuss anything art related. SUPPORTING LOCAL
Some of the galleries we are already associated with include AGRA in Camberwell and Hut Gallery with the Ferntree Gully Art Society. After just one exhibition at Hut Gallery, we helped to increase their membership numbers.
We also have a unique partnership with in.cube8r in Fitzroy and Prahran. Details of the partnership can be found on our website.
Another recent partnership is NCAT Create at the Northern College of the Arts and Technology. They have recognised the work we are doing and are now recommending us to their students. In return, we are supporting them and promoting their art program. For more information follow this link.

If you run workshops, have a story to tell, are part of an art society, collective, gallery or group, we would love to hear from you. Our blogs go out every Friday, and if you want to be in a particular week, you must send your information and accompanying images, by the Monday prior.
