A self-taught painter born in South Africa (b. 1977) and based in Melbourne for nearly two decades. Her work explores the intersections of nature and the lived environment, blending vibrant colour palettes with influences from surrealism and impressionism. Karin’s practice is a rhythmic study of landscapes, botanics and bold ideas, captured through the tactile versatility of acrylic. She is a member of the Melbourne and Victorian Artists Collective (MAVA).
