Lillian and Vivian

This work is based on a street photograph taken at the horse races in Melbourne circa 1950. The two women are my grandmother and my great-grandmother. This image is a fragment of a moment from the distant past, that could be a memory or a dream. It is printed on a page from “Ladies' Garment Cutting and Making, A Standard Textbook by F.R. Morris”, a homage to my grandmother’s profession as a dressmaker herself.
