I have been fascinated with natural materials for all my adult life. Originally working with stone and clay, I discovered timber as a medium in my mid-twenties and have never looked back.
Much of my work draws from the shapes of the natural world. In my practice, I find inspiration from the contrasts between surface and structure, organic and inorganic and perception and reality.
I love how timber feels to the touch and much of my work encourages people to do more than just look.
Recent works have started to explore combinations of materials, resin, ceramic, metals and glass within the framework of the timber pieces.
