My work introduces a personal dimension into the vastness and magnitude of an imaginary seascape. Being mesmerised by the unpredictable power of an ocean, I created this painting to articulate a presence inhabited by liminal beginnings and ends; and show the immaterial rhythms that drive waves and tides. Contemplating the endless moving of water may touch and transform one who looks at it. It calls us to look inside of objective views of nature in search of subjective insights, which may be revealed through a solitary engagement with the “otherness” of nature.
