Mount Murchison ablaze.
Cold, hostile, wild, and alive with wildflowers in the shadowed valley. I was so taken by this view I had to paint it!
The oranges and yellows of the flowers sing against the reds and browns of the craggy rock faces, the hidden valley, and the misty mountains in the background.
Inspired by a photograph by Heath Whiley.
