Words like ‘joyful’ and ‘vibrant’ are usually used to describe Sharon’s contemporary paintings. Brilliant oil and acrylic colours, and use of bold texture are recognisable elements in her style. Her paintings walk a fine, wobbly line between realism, abstraction and impressionism, inviting the viewer to ‘be there’ not just visually but emotionally, in an engaging, almost tactile way.

DeSailly, a third-generation Australian painter, describes herself as a ‘scapist’. Her seascapes, treescapes and landscapes transport the viewer from the deep perspective of vivid seaside sunsets to up-close textured tree bark, to the intensely rich hues of outback Australia and to beautiful, sometimes playful, landscapes, animals, birds and florals. Her original ‘Crazy Donald’ Rooster painting now lives in Hollywood - I kid you not!

Original paintings by Sharon DeSailly celebrate nature and all living beauty. They bring joy into the homes, offices and lives of collectors across Australia and in several countries around the world. She lives in Bayside, Melbourne. Commissions are welcomed.
