Sally Bowen

Sally is an artist based in Eltham, Melbourne, Australia.

She has attended painting classes within her local community since 2014.

Sally is a diverse artist using mainly oils and some watercolour and ink.

She regularly explores themes involving water through oceans, reflections and water ripples.
Using oils, she utilises varying techniques from glazing to opaque semi-abstract patterns to produce her original artworks.

She seeks out beaches, dams, slow creeks, ponds and lakes to find her inspiration, throwing rocks in the water to create ripples and searching for just the right imagery to adapt to her paintings.

Sally also has a great fondness of bees painting them in watercolour in their happy, homely hives hoping to raise awareness of their importance on our fragile earth.

Sally is delighted by regular sales and commissions and paints passionately alongside her career as a registered nurse.
