“Gen” of Genevieve Villaflor Art is a mixed media abstract artist, predominantly working with alcohol inks. Her work focusses on fleeting emotions and its intertwined aspects of spontaneity and expressive gestural movement. Through her process, she highlights the healing aspect of art making through vivid colours, organic shapes and expressive lines- without really knowing what the outcome may be! Intuition and emotion drive her work to be what it is. During the day, Gen works as a kinder/ primary school teacher and aspires to become an art therapist in the near future. Art will always be something she treasures and uses to express her inner dialogue, in the hopes that others may resonate in some way.
