Chris Aspland is a Victorian artist, based in Torquay, on the Surf Coast of Victoria.
She completed her Diploma of Visual Arts through Box Hill TAFE, 2014 with a major in Painting.
Her work is mostly themed around people, personal interactions and community connections. She works from real life and photos and attempts to inject a sense of fun and nostalgia into her artwork.
Chris had her first solo show in August 2017.
Group shows with Leah Mariani, 2018 and Christine Lewis in 2020.
Her second solo show in 2021 was cancelled due to COVID.
She was a finalist in EUTICK Memorial Still Life Award, 2017, 2018.
She was awarded the Judge's Choice at Albert Park College Art Show in 2020.
She has exhibited in a number of other local and selected group shows such as EMSLA; Linden Postcard Show; Belle Arti; Albert Park College Art Show and a number of Rotary shows.
Her work is represented in International and Australian private collections.
